The Volunteer Association of the Shcool of Business Administration carried out volunteer service activities on the mornings of October 26th, November 9th, and December 7th in the youth space of Jinheyuan.
In Jinheyuan on October 26th, volunteers led the children into the world of non-heritage handicrafts - paper turning flower. After listening to the explanation, the children concentrated on folding, flipping and pasting the paper, and worked together with the volunteers to transform a piece of individual colored paper into a beautiful flower-flipping work. In the science experiment themed activity on November 9, the volunteers organized the children to carry out the interesting experiment of “disappearing colors”. The fascinating experimental science video attracted all the children's attention and instantly aroused their curiosity and desire to explore. In the last activity of the semester at Golden Crane Garden, volunteers made cupcakes with the children. At the activity site, the children gathered in front of the cupcake embryo to play with their creativity and imagination, and some of the cupcakes were covered with thick “snow”, while others were outlined with buttercream to form cute cartoon images.
In this semester's activities at Jinheyuan, the children not only enhanced their understanding of non-heritage culture, but also learned scientific knowledge and mastered new baking skills.
